SMP is a small blind-mating RF connector that adopts push-in and escapement connection mechanisms and has a maximum operating frequency from DC to 40 GHz.
The outer shell and inner conductor materials are beryllium bronze CuBe, the surface treatment is gold-plated Au, and the insulating medium is polytetrafluoroethylene PTFE.
The diameter of the conductor pin inside the SMP male connector is 0.36mm-0.41mm. Commonly used models of SMP are: SMP-KK, SMP-KR50, SMP-JHD, SMP-KW3506, SMP-JYD, SMP-JYHD.
SMP’s male connector (K) offers 3 different connection retention products:
Full escapement: maximum connection retention
Engagement force: 68 N Max
Separation force: 22N Min
Half escapement: medium retention
Engagement force: 45 N Max
Separation force: 9 N Min
Smooth hole / with brake: minimum holding force
Engagement force: 9 N Max
Separation force: 2.2 N Min
